The Founders

Rapid Fired Pizza was founded by a team that has over 100 combined years of experience in franchising. The lead co-founder of RFP is Ray Wiley, who is a co-founder of Hot Head Burritos. Ray is also a 26 year franchisee of Subway. Co-founders Matt Curtis, Tim Tefs and Jim Savakinas are veterans in the industry and bring with them a combined  80+ years of experience. Co-founder Kelly Gray brings with her over 15 years experience in commercial real estate leasing, investment and site selection. Peter Wiley has extensive experience in brand development, marketing, multimedia production and social media. 

The Concept

Rapid Fired Pizza was founded by experienced restauranteurs with a focus on streamlined operations, clear training systems for employees, and a very strong focus on unit economics. With in-house demographic analysis, customer information gathering, graphic design, marketing, architectural design, and real estate leasing, we are well positioned to support our franchisees. With extensive knowledge of all aspects of the restaurant industry and its customers, RFP is a recipe for success.

The Investment

The expected cost of opening a store is between $230,000 and $560,000, depending on the location. We expect most inline stores to open for an investment between $340,000 and $400,000. Please see our FDD for complete details.

Meet the Team

Ray Wiley

Co-founder of Hot Head Burritos and co-owner of Hot Head Franchising, Ray has 30 years of experience in restaurant operations, development and construction with Skyline Chili, Subway and Hot Head Burritos. Ray also co-owns 13 Hot Head Burritos restaurants and 4 Subway restaurants.

Kelly Gray

Named one of Dayton's 50 most influential women by Dayton Business Journal, Kelly is a 10 year Real Estate veteran and former Series 7 licensed Financial Securities Representative with a degree in Public Relations.

Matt Curtis

Matt has over 25 years of experience in restaurant operations, development, and construction with multiple quick serve brands, including Skyline Chili, Subway and Hot Head Burritos.  He currently partners with Tim Tefs in the development of Hot Head Burritos throughout Ohio and Michigan, as well as co-owning 14 Hot Head Burritos restaurants.  He is also the owner of Artisan construction services --- a restaurant specific design/build construction company.

Tim Tefs

A restaurant veteran of 25 years, Tim owns 10 Subway restaurants, co-owns 5 Hot Head Burritos restaurants and was former owner and area developer for a full service sports bar chain.

Jim Savakinas

Jim has 25 plus years of multi-unit management and operational experience from the fast casual and quick serve restaurant segment.

Peter Wiley

Peter has spent the last 15 years developing brands and marketing materials across a wide array mediums including, TV, radio, print, web, apps and social media.
